A lot of people ask me how, and why I became an author. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a writer. As a boy, I wrote like crazy. But more importantly, I read. I have always believed that you can’t be a great writer without being a great reader.

As I grew, my dreams of becoming an author never dissipated. At the University of Southern California, I switched my Business Administration major to Creative Writing and as Robert Frost so famously said, “that has made all the difference.”

One night on my honeymoon, while drinking wine in a piazza somewhere in Italy, my wife asked me what I would regret on my deathbed never having done. Before I could pull the words from the air and shove them back in my mouth I had said, “Writing a novel and getting it published.” My deepest, darkest secret had been revealed.

Filling up my glass, my wife looked at me and smiled. “Well,” she stated. “When we get home, you need to start spending two hours of protected time a day – no phone, no fax, no email – making your dream become a reality.”

Once again, two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one less traveled by, and it has made all the difference. Two hours led to three, which led to four and so on. Within a year, I had written my first thriller, The Lions of Lucerne.

There’s even more to the story, but this isn’t the place for me to go on about how I started. This is where I want to welcome you to BradThor.com. I’m very proud of this web site, but even more so of the people who visit it and are members of the BradThor.com discussion forum.

I hope that this site will not simply meet, but that it will exceed your expectations. This is my home on the web. I hope you will enjoy yourself while visiting. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. Welcome
